Please be sure to follow these instructions in order to ensure that you are safe on campus:

• You are living on a research campus that comes with particularly strict safety precautions. Scientific experiments are conducted in most of the buildings. Access to these buildings is therefore only permitted to the staff working there. For your own protection, do not enter these areas.
• You can of course always enter non-critical buildings like the guest houses, the International Office, the DESY canteen, the medical service and a few administrative areas that are important during your stay with us.
• Many construction activities are currently being carried out on our campus. Therefore, for your own safety, please use the pavements and pay special attention to lorry traffic. Do not let your children play outside unsupervised.
• Smoking is prohibited in all buildings on campus, including the guest house rooms. Please comply with this, otherwise you will trigger a fire alarm.
