For us, DESY is much more than just an employer. We call ourselves DESYans and are an eager to learn, multicultural bunch with a distinctive passion for science and technology. With our research, we want to understand the world in its smallest components and make it a little bit better. This basic feeling accompanies us even when we leave DESY after our training, PhD, postdoc, long research stays, retirement or for other reasons. Because the bond to DESY is not defined by an employment contract alone.

Expanding the alumni network

Relation Management works together with the research departments, other divisions and campus partners to build and continuously expand a comprehensive alumni network. We are currently developing target group-specific offers for our alumni. Alumni can support DESY, for example, as jury members, mentors, volunteers or experts in the field of innovation. There will be regular networking meetings.
